2 Samuel 12: 13-16 KJV

King David tried to hide his sins from God but it came for a time for him to repent after suffering the brutal consequences.

Generational curses were passed down his bloodline: his daughter was raped, two of his sons were soon killed, and another son reaped the consequences of polygamy and having ungodly wives.

Sins will pass down the bloodline as demonic curses until one confesses their sins and breaks them off the bloodline. These aren’t just patterns and cycles. They are curses on the bloodline.

Although King David took a long time to repent of the sin of adultery/murder, he did finally humble himself with fasting and prayer. Despite his moral favors, God still called him a man after his own heart. Why? Because he was human and a man of great esteem and influence susceptible to many temptations.

But the difference between him, other kings, and some people today is that he never turned his heart away from God. He changed his ways and sought the Lord’s forgiveness because he loved, honored, and feared him. This is what God wants.❤️
