It has been a while since I shared notes from my church’s sermon.
Life is so much busier for me now. However, I just could not hold this word to myself because it means so much to me, and is why I started “Bible Journey.”

“How to be Motivated by God” x Dr. Creflo Dollar. (Sunday, May 5, 2023, sermon notes).
Devotion to Jesus Christ is more important than good works.
Christ desires and recognizes service, but He far more values love and devotion to himself.
God is not good because we’re good or do good things. GOD IS GOOD!
Have a relationship with God. (ex. Fellowship and thankfulness)
Meditate on Christ and have devotion purely for who He is. This must be our top priority. This should be the motivation to do whatever we do.
Do not do church without Jesus! (Such as singing about Jesus with no devotion to him)
When you go to church, ask yourself why you are going. What is my motivation?
You can do good works much better when you love Jesus and have a relationship with him.
Do not seek to do good works without him. He should be your motivation.
For in him we move, breathe, live, and have our being UNTIL DEATH!
“As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:38-42 NLT
One did for him, and the other received from him.
Just because you can do something does not mean you should be doing it. Talk with God first.
“After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him. Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.”
John 21:15-17 NLT
Love and devotion to God first, then service.
Examine your heart and motives. Do not lose your first love. Repent (change your mind). Revelation 2:1-5
“We love each other because he loved us first.”
1 John 4:19 NLT
Do you believe that God loves you?
Declare: “God loves me, and I know it. Therefore, I receive the abounding everlasting intimate, powerful love of God. No matter what I go through, his love will bring me out; from this day forward, I will never question God’s love for me. And from his love I work for him and from his love I serve him and from his love I love him.” – Dr. Creflo Dollar
