Be Strong and Courageous

Sermon notes from Rabbi Schneider (a saved Jewish-Christian).

My husband and I listened to this message while laying in bed last night. I have never heard Rabbi speaking with so much FIRE and excitement. I just had to share some of his nuggets in a blog post today. Enjoy!

Title: “Be Strong and Courageous… Do Not Be Afraid Part 8” – Discovering the Jewish Jesus with Rabbi Schneider

________

"See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him." 1 John 3:1 NASB

“God likes us!”

“Father wants us to win in the battle against fear!”

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 NASB

“We should have the Word of God dwelling richly in us”

“If His word dwells in us, we’ll bear much fruit”

“It’s the Word of God that empowers and delivers us”

“Overcoming fear is not an opinion; it’s a commandment. God hates fear. He hates it when His children fear because when we fear, we’re choosing to believe the devil rather than Him. It’s an insult to God when we fear.”

“Father is involved in the details of our lives!”

“Our problem is…most of us…we believe in the Father, we believe in God. The problem is we believe in Him in heaven rather than in his activity here on earth. Some of us aren’t afraid of dying and of where we’re going to go. Some of us are confident when we die that our sins are forgiven we’ll go to heaven. What we’re more afraid of is what’s going to happen on this earth.”

“We’re more concerned about whether we could trust God in this life and that’s why we fear.”

“Fearing is a lack of faith.”

Mark 4:37-41 – Where is your faith? Jesus said to them.

“The remedy of fear is to build ourselves up in faith. Faith in the Word of God.”

“The Word of God is Living!”

“Jesus said, if my Word abide in you…”

“How are we going to know that we don’t have to be afraid unless we hear God say to us:

I’m a shield to YOU,

I’m going before YOU,

I’ll be with you even when YOUR hairs are grey,

I’ll never leave YOU or forsake YOU!”

“How are we going to come against fear, harden ourselves against fear, obstinate against fear, and refusing to let it in unless we seize God’s Word and anchor our hearts in His truth. WE MUST anchor our hearts in the love and truth of God. God likes you and He hates fear. You’re His child and He wants you to overcome it. He’s given you the tool to overcome it. He’s behind you to overcome it. You must declare war on fear this day!”

"But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin." Romans 14:23 NASB

Everything that is not of faith is sin. And fear is the opposite of faith.

“We need to realize that when we fear we are in a foul spirit. When we use our mind to imagine all types of doom, our mind is foul being polluted with evil spirits. We must tear the feathers of fear off our lives today and become free.”

Thank you so much for stopping by! I pray that this blog and full sermon message is an encouragement to you. Especially, during such a time as this.
