“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.”
Proverbs 3:5-8, New American Standard Bible
Oftentimes we accuse God of not loving or caring for us when we do not get what we want. I am guilty of this. Sometimes, I do not get what I want or I do not get it in the time that I want it. When we do this we refuse to consider all of the factors. We live in a spirit world, and our minds our finite. However, our God lives in the spirit and he is a spirit with infinite wisdom!
I am reminded of a story in the Book of Daniel chapter 10. Daniel had an open vision of a supernatural being, perhaps an angel, who came to deliver a message to him. The angel told Daniel that his prayer was heard and he was sent forth immediately after his request. But the angel also told him that his coming was delayed because of a battle in the heavenly ‘spiritual’ realm that caused a 21-day delay.
So, the biblical application for today is that God’s people must keep praying, staying firm, and being patient. We have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. But we can trust God that he will do what he says because he is faithful and he loves us.
God is always fighting for us. He loves us so much and is never against any one of us. He is on our side and he wants us to live an abundant life (Jer. 29:11; John 10:10).
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 1 that all of our prayers according to the word of God are YES and AMEN. When we open our mouths to speak, God hears us and is already answering our prayers because he is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. We must encourage ourselves in the truth of his word and not lean on our own wisdom and understanding because we do not know it all nor should believers walk by sight. We walk by faith. It does not matter what it looks like. Keep believing until your blessing manifests. God has your back!
Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
