Encouragement for the End Times

WARS, RUMORS OF WARS, FAMINES, EARTHQUAKES, TORNADOES, VOLCANO ERUPTIONS, TSUNAMIS, PESTILENCES, AND CORONAVIRUS!

Can you believe the times that we’re in? Jesus said in Matthew 24, that these are the beginning of birth pangs – signs of the End Times. Ever since he left, we have been living in the Last Days…

On all of the news channels, social media, and out and about (including church), I see people in great fear. But fear is contrary to the Word of God for the believer. I read somewhere in a study Bible today, that true faith is revealed during trials and tribulations. In other words, when we respond God’s way to unfortunate circumstances, we prove that we have been transformed by God’s grace and the application of his word (James 2:4:17-21).

Christians are to live by the Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17).

We have to put our full confidence in God. We can rest assured that he will provide for his people. So do not even consider the things of this world. The darkness that has come upon our world is a result of man’s sin. The lost world is fallen, and in need of a Savior — Jesus Christ. God is shaking the earth so that man can repent. We are in crucial times because God is getting ready to bring justice to his creation on earth.

These are glorious times for the believer, because we can clearly see how our redemption draws near! Although times are scary and sad, we can rejoice knowing that we are saved and nothing can take away our relationship with the God who created everything that is good.

God is calling us to cast all of our care onto him (1 Peter 5:7) and to set our minds on heavenly things (Colossians 3:2; Philippians 4:6-9). Pray and do not worry. God is with us through the fire. He will protect and provide. Most importantly, he will come back for us soon!

If you find yourself stressed out, worried, and fearful, I want to encourage you to read these chapters in the Bible. Recite them as prayers, and meditate on them whenever you feel yourself drifting away from God’s promises. Jesus loves and cares for you! In the end, it is going to be okay for the believers. WHO or WHAT can stand against our mighty and matchless Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

Psalm 23 (NASB)

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 91 (NASB)

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most HighWill abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyesAnd see the recompense of the wicked. For you have made the Lord, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down. “Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation.”
